Dedication...What does this mean?

Dedication

 What do you mean by this? committed to a task or purpose, the willingness to give a lot of time and energy to something because it is important. Dedication can also be defined as complete devotion and faith in someone or something, like your dedication to your family, for example, then what about the dedication in dance means to you? Can you be dedicated to both at the same time? How? If you are trying to balance your family, your career and your passion and love for dance, does that mean your dedication towards dance is less?
Well, trying to improve your fitness level both at physically and mentally to keep a good balance between your dance and other commitments in life should be equally treated as a strong dedication towards dance as well as family, careers etc. Because the motivation to balance hard dance practice sessions, the workload in office and handling difficult times with kids and family comes nowhere but from the joy, we get from dancing itself. That's my self-experience!
But sometimes, in case of dancers who are more active in dance at the early stage of life, not able to devote that much time to dance practice later due to other commitments in life which we can call as ‘preferences’. But somewhere in their heart, the dancer is always alive. In some cases, the challenges in physical conditions don’t allow a dancer(by heart) to perform. But he/she always is dancing in his/her mind and always finds if there is any chance where his/her passion can be shown in any way ….
All such dancers in this world to be are truly dedicated, not just passionate…
Because in the presence/ availability of all the comfort, anyone can perform….but we cannot call it as true dedication…
True dedication is that when one always tries to perform his/her level best however unfavourable conditions occur!

    Hi,
    Very nice article. True dedication according to me comes from heart....and true performer is the one who can perform in adverse condition....Because the show must go on....:)

    Yes dedication can be defined as perseverance ...and in case of married indian ladies it is really hard to keep it alive....

    One can judge his/ her own dedication towards Dance in most adverse conditions....and not in the most favourable or comfortable situation/condition.what say?
